Lubo DoBrev was born in Varna, Bulgaria. He grew up in a sea-faring family of writers, and at an early
age spent many years living in Antwerp, Belgium. Upon return to his
native country, he witnessed the fall of Communism.
After high school, Lubo took a nine-month sailing trip around Europe
and the Indian Ocean, and the voyage sparked his intent to study International
Commerce.
In the nineties he embarked on an educational journey across
the United States that took him through colleges in Illinois, Oregon,
and South Carolina. He graduated with an International MBA (MIBS)
from the University of South Carolina, and moved to New York City. A couple of years later Lubo began writing the novel Four to the Dance Floor.
The book was inspired in part from Lubo's fascination with the corporate
scandals during a time of his life when his own career path took him
in an unexpected direction. |
